This collection pays homage to those precious resources threatened with extinction today. The idea for it emerged after a trip to Japan. So inspired by the tranquility and refuge people took in the temple gardens amidst the vibrant fall foliage, I too wanted to honor nature and make an offering to help save the planet from human devastation. Having studied ceramics and partaken in the traditional Japanese tea ceremony I was drawn to this ritual and felt I could incorporate photographs of tea bowls and nature into digital collages, which might express a similar gesture.
